Welcome to Yellow Class

We are very excited to welcome you back and are looking forward to all our new learning that we will be doing over the next year.
Key Information
In Yellow Class, PE is on a Thursday, please come dressed in your PE kit.
Our PE kit is:
White t- shirt
Black shorts
Black pumps/ trainers
School jumper or coat for winter
Jogging bottoms or leggings for winter
Homework
Spellings and times tables will be set weekly.
Children will also have reading books and a reading record to practise at home.
They will have an English and maths homework that will be set on a Friday and due in the following Friday.
Learning in school
Our first main topic will be The Vikings and we will be linking a lot of our learning to this topic.
In maths we will be learning about place value before moving onto addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
Our English unit will be based on The Chronicles of Narnia and we will be producing a non - chronological text before we write a narrative based on the story.
Well done to everyone in Yellow Class. We have had a fantastic first term in which you have all had lots of successes. We are very proud of each and every one of you. Have a lovely Christmas and new year.
Yellow class have been outside in our garden, thinking of different ways to improve our mental health.
We have had Burnley FC visit our school to talk to the children about Black History Month
