Children in Year 1 and Year 2 have a block of fundamental movement skills at the start of the year. Each week they have two lessons. One is locomotor skills such as running, skipping, jumping and hopping. In their other PE lesson they focus on manipulative skills such as catching, kicking and throwing.
The children carried out a range of activities to help practice their fundamental skills.
The children first had to bounce the ball to place Evil Pea back into the freezer. Using hand eye coordination to control the ball from one cone to another.
The children carried out a sequence of hopping, skipping and rolling. The rolling included a carrot roll to show him escaping from the Evil Pea.
Finally the children had to sprint to show Supertato different movements of hot he would move to help save the vegetables.
