World Book Day

Eagles, along with the rest of the school, took part in World Book Day activities which included a visit from Rawtenstall Library, a choice of books from our WeBuyBooks donation library, a vocabulary mystery exercise with a guest teacher from another class and class-based reading activities. We had a great day!

Fire Safety Talk

We were visited by John and Tom from Bacup Fire Service today. They talked to us about fire safety and key messages.

John and Tom then spoke to us about arson and the dangers of setting fires.

Stop. Drop. Roll.

But the main reason for the visit was to discuss road safety, especially with us moving on to High School this year.

MacMillan Coffee Morning

We welcomed parents and carers in for a brew and a slice of cake to raise money for MacMillan Cancer Research.

Welcome Mass

This morning our children took part in a Welcome Mass with Father Stamp. Our Year Six children accompanied their ‘Seed’ in their role as ‘Gardener’ into the hall and sat with them during the service. Well done to our children who offered readings and well done to everyone for how respectful and mature you were during the service.

Visit from Father Stamp

We welcomed Father Stamp into our class to speak to us about his vocation of becoming a Priest . We had a very interesting afternoon and learnt all about his journey to becoming a Priest and his daily life in the Parish.
