Penguins

Welcome to Penguins Class

Year 3 and 4

What we are learning in school this half term.

Staff in Penguins Class:

Mr Rainey - Teacher

Miss Clawson - Teaching Assistant

PE:

This half term our PE lessons will be on a Thursday and Friday.

We will now be getting changed for PE in school. Your child should come to school in their uniform as normal and children will get changed for the PE lesson. They should have in school their PE Kit:

  • Plain white t-shirt
  • Black shorts
  • All black pumps or trainers
  • Black tracksuit bottoms/leggings and school jumper can be worn in winter.

PE Kits can be left on their peg in school and taken home for washing each half term or when needed.

Reading Books:

All children should be reading their reading book for at least a few minutes every day to increase their fluency and confidence. Please ensure they bring this to school in their bag every day. Please talk to your child about their reading book and anything else they are reading (fiction, non fiction, magazines etc) - talking about what they read will help to improve their love of reading, their understanding and their confidence. Thank you for your support with this.

Homework:

Homework will be given out on a Friday, to be returned by the following Thursday. Homework will vary but will be a task related some of the learning we have done that week. Children should also be reading every day and regularly practising their times tables.

Children can log in to practise times tables on TT Rockstars, using the app or website. Log ins are stuck into the front cover of your child's reading record.
