Provision learning - Plants
The parts and functions of a plant
The children have been learning about the different parts of a plant.
They have been looking at the different functions to understand how a plant grows.
Forest learning
The children used their previous learning of plants to show the different parts of a plant.
Using the natural materials the children created plants and could explain their different functions.
Parts of a plant
Bulbs- Year 2
Year 2s have been learning about bulbs.
They had lots of fun observing and describing the bulbs.
The children looked at the different parts of a bulb and learnt their different functions.
Year 1s- Bulbs
The children had lots of fun looking at the bulbs.
They discussed the different parts and functions.
Planting daffodils
The children had a fantastic time planting their own daffodils.
The children used compost to carefully plant the bulbs in their own plant pots.
We are looking forward to watching them grow over the next few months.
The children went on a hunt to find evergreen and deciduous trees. The children could identify and explain the difference between the trees. They had lots of fun looking for them around school.
The Year 1 children went on a Autumn walk to see what they could find. The children noticed that the leaves were changing colour and falling off the trees. They also discussed the lightness and darkness of the days and how the weather has changed.
