Nursery

15 hour, 30 hour and paid for places available!

We accept children into our nursery from the term following their third birthday, in September, January and April. Children attend either part-time or full-time, depending on your entitlement or your requirements.  We can offer mornings, afternoons, all day, or a combination of these. Please contact the school office to discuss your options and arrange a visit. You can find out more about what your child is entitled to at childcarechoices.gov.uk.

Our nursery hours are the same as our school hours - nursery class runs from 9.00am to 3.15pm during school term time only. Once they have settled in, nursery children are also able to attend our free Breakfast Club from 8.00am and our paid for After School Club until 5.30pm.

Applications are accepted at any time and must be made on our Nursery Application Form, a copy of which can be found below. Applications should be returned to the school office (email bursar@st-josephs-bacup.lancs.sch.uk). You will be notified in writing if we are able to offer a place and the start date for your child - this will be within 10 school days of your application being received but is usually sooner.

Parents/carers will be required to sign a Parental Agreement for the Provision of Early Education Funded Places. A copy of this is shown below for information.

Please note that attendance at our nursery does not automatically mean your child transfers to our Reception class. You will still need to apply for a place in Reception at the same time as everyone else via the usual online applications process through Lancashire County Council.
