Sleepover at School!

Year Six have enjoyed a sleepover in school! We had a film, made our own tea and then, karaoke! When it started to go dark, we played lots of games! After a hot chocolate and story it was straight to sleep... 😂😂😂 We had a fantastic time!!

Our amazing residential at Malham Tarn...

What an amazing experience! We set out on Thursday morning to the beautiful Field Studies Council site at Malham Tarn.

Upon arrival, we met Sam, our guide at the site. After unpacking our bags in our rooms, we took part in lots of team-building games.  These included using piping to get a tennis ball down the hill, attempting to get all members of the team through a 'portal' in the quickest time (the portal being a tyre inner tube), navigating a hook using ropes and building towers of tyres!

We then split off into groups to go orienteering around the grounds - this was super tough and relied on our map-reading abilities.

After a tea of pasta and garlic bread and a play in the grounds, we went on a night-time walk to experience the grounds at night, as it was far too wet for a campfire. This took a lot of nerve for some of us... but we did it!

After a good night's sleep ( ) and a lovely full English breakfast, Sam took us on a walk around the Tarn. This was not only visually stunning but also really interesting as we stopped off at different points to learn about the history, the plants and animals and the local area. Once we got back to the house, we ate the dinner we had prepared ourselves earlier and then got back on the bus home, tired but happy!

We are very proud of you Green Class. Your behaviour was fantastic and you set the bar high for this year. Well done for facing your fears and trying new things; you are really living up to our class goal of being brave!
