Miss Adshead is the teacher for Green Class and we are supported by our class teaching assistant Mrs Kay.
Here you will find out what we are up to in class and useful information.
Homework will be handed out every Friday and collected in the following Thursday. There will be one English/Comprehension and one Maths. A spelling list will also be given out to practise which will be tested on a Friday.
A coach from Accrington Stanley comes in every Thursday afternoon to teach us PE. Please make sure PE kits are in school. We will send them home at the end of each half term.
In English our topic for this half term is Classic Fiction. We will be exploring different classic fiction texts and focusing on The Wizard of Oz as our main class novel. We will use this to write our own 'missing chapter' of the story which we will publish in our school and class libraries.
In Maths this half term we will be learning about fractions and how to add, subtract, divide and multiply them.
In Science we will be continuing our topic on Properties and changes of everyday materials. We will begin to explore reversible and irreversible changes.
In RE we are learning about the commitment of life and religious life.
Our History topic is Ancient Greece and we will be finding out about the Greek Empire, everyday life and we will be placing events on a timeline.
