Year Six have played a Chinese pentatonic scale today and then composed a piece of music using the notes of the scale in C.

The Time Thief

Today Green Class took part in an online adventure game testing our logic and problem solving skills in order to solve clues and destroy a time machine! 

Faith Week: Judaism.
We researched all about the Jewish faith. We had a 360degree tour of a synagogue, we looked at the links between the Old Testament and the Torah as well as enjoying apples in honey!

Writing our Flashbacks...

We have been looking at the authorial device of flashbacks. We have followed the linear story sequence of ‘Holes’ and looked at how Louis Sachar deviates from this, creating flashbacks. We have worked hard on creating a narrative with a flashback for Kissin’ Kate Barlow...

Formal speeches

This week we had to plan and deliver a speech in ‘Court’ as Stanley Yelnats’ legal team. We had to present our appeal to The Judge (who was very argumentative) whilst maintaining our formal tone. We fought hard not to get our plea “dismissed”.

Children’s Mental Health Week and Online Safety

Green Class took part in ‘Superlative’ day where we used Guinness World Records to make scale models and drawing. We used ratio and rounding skills too.
