Our school is committed to safeguarding and promoting
the welfare of children and young people. We expect all
staff, visitors and volunteers to share this commitment.

If you have concerns regarding the safeguarding or
welfare of any of our pupils, please contact Mrs M Scott
(Designated Safeguarding Lead), or Mrs Scott
(Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead).

St Joseph’s participates in Operation Encompass.
Following the report of an incident of domestic abuse,
school will be advised that the child has been involved.

PTA

At St Joseph’s, we have an active Parents, Teachers and Friends Association (PTFA) who do an amazing amount of fundraising to help improve the school!

Past events have included a Summer Fair, Christmas Fair, Spooky Disco, Valentines Disco, Talent Show and Bingo! We also hold an annual Macmillan Coffee Morning where we raise money to support people with cancer. The PTFA has raised a huge amount of money so a massive ‘thank you’ goes to everyone who has been involved. Everyone is welcome to join so please look out for details of the next meeting.

The money raised never goes to waste. This year some of the money raised has gone towards events in school and transport costs to help lower voluntary contributions for trips and residentials.

How else can I help school?

There are lots of things you can do to help St Joseph’s:

  • Join the PTA.
  • Donate resources that may be useful, for example cardboard/wood/material for DT.
  • Register your child for Free School Meals, even if your child wishes to bring a packed lunch., as the school’s ‘Pupil Premium’ funding is related to this.
  • Tell people all the good things about our school! Complete the Parent View section of the Ofsted website.
  • Can you offer a talent or skill? Would the children be interested in what you do? Let us know!
