Reading and Spelling

Each child is expected to read three times a week at home and have this signed in their reading record. Children will receive a raffle ticket for doing so and will have the chance to win a prize each half term. Reading records should be brought into school each day.

Spelling journals will be sent home with weekly spellings. These should be returned by Friday or Monday of each week so that new spellings can be updated on Mondays.

TT Rockstars

Each child is expected to log on to TT Rockstars once a week. Logins for TT Rockstars are sent home in reading journals. Year 4 will sit their statutory times tables test in June.

Swimming and PE

Year 4 children will go swimming every Tuesday afternoon, and Year 3 will have PE with Robins Class during this time.

Penguins class will do PE on a Friday afternoon. Please make sure your child has their PE kit:

• plain white t-shirt
• plain black shorts/leggings/joggers
• black pumps/trainers.
