SEND

Our Vision for SEND

At St Joseph’s RC Primary School, we believe that every child is a unique and valued individual, created by God, and deserving of an inclusive, nurturing education. Guided by our Catholic ethos, we are committed to ensuring that pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) are supported to feel safe, respected and fully included in all aspects of school life.

Through high-quality teaching, early identification of need and effective ordinarily available provision, we support pupils with SEND to access a broad and balanced curriculum alongside their peers. Staff work in partnership with families, governors and external professionals to identify and remove barriers to learning, making appropriate and reasonable adjustments where required.

Within our caring school community, we strive to foster confidence, independence and resilience so that every pupil can participate, achieve and develop to their full potential academically, socially and emotionally. Our aim is that all children feel valued and supported as they grow in faith, learning and respect for one another.
