Early Years Foundation Stage

The exciting things that I will learn in the Early Years at St Joseph's:
- How to be a good friend and play with others
- How to be independent and seek my own learning opportunities
- How to explore and be curious with adults guiding me
- How to engage with open ended resources
- How to have fun in the classroom, outdoors, outdoor sensory area and the forest
- How to keep myself healthy including looking after my teeth
The exciting things that will take place in the Early Years:
- Exciting experiences planned outdoors including our 'Mucky Mondays' sessions at the forest
- Malleable and sensory opportunities
- Stay and play sessions with my family (when we can invite parents into school)
- Playing together with the "Seeds and Gardeners"
- (Nursery and Reception-Seeds Y6 buddies-Gardeners to help them grow")
- Active phonics and maths lessons
- Pantomine trips
- Off site visits
- EYFS Celebration Worship - every month
- Tasteful Tuesdays - sessions that help the children develop their baking and cooking skills
