New Starters September 2021

Welcome to St. Joseph's RC. I am Mrs Scott the Nursery and Reception class teacher.

Our class is called "Red class" and there is myself, Miss Colak and Miss Connelly who work with the children.

Unfortunately, we are unable to offer any transition sessions at the moment due to Covid.

We can only reassure you that in September we will help your child settle in as much as possible within our nurturing environment.

If you would like to take a look at the class page, click on the children tab, then class pages, then select red class. This will give you an idea of some of the topics and activities we have done this year.

Mrs Scott will be contacting you personally, to discuss the transition in September.

If your child is starting in Reception, they will start full time in September.

Children who are starting in the nursery will do either 15 or 30 hours, which will be agreed before their start date.

I look forward to meeting you all in September. We hope you have a lovely summer.

From Mrs Scott and the Early Years Team.

Have a go at filling this in ready for September...

Reception pupils baseline

The reception baseline assessment (RBA) is a short, task-based assessment of your child's early literacy, communication, language and mathematics skills when they begin school.  The assessment can take place at any point in the first 6 weeks of your child starting reception.
